Norval Morrisseau (1932-2007) was a Canadian artist from the Ojibwe tribe of Northern Ontario. He is widely regarded as one of Canada's most significant Indigenous artists. He is often credited with helping to establish Indigenous art as a legitimate and valuable form of artistic expression.
